About
Music deserves to be held
It started with a music blog and too many records I wished existed. In 2018, I was writing about artists nobody was covering. Scandinavian producers making ambient music in cabins. Post-punk duos playing to 30 people in Gothenburg basements. Folk singers recording on riverbanks in rural Norway.
The music was there, but nobody was pressing it. So I found a pressing plant in the Czech Republic and asked Birk Olafsrud if he'd let me put out his debut EP. He said yes. We sold out 300 copies in two weeks. That was enough to keep going.
Now there are 12 artists on the roster across four Nordic countries. Over 40 releases. We ship vinyl to 30+ countries and distribute digitally worldwide. The rule is still the same: we only put out records we'd want to own ourselves.
Every release is a collaboration. We work with each artist on artwork, mastering, and packaging. The physical object is part of the art. The weight of the record, the smell of the sleeve, dropping the needle. That's what this is about.

Analogue First
Every release starts as a vinyl pressing. Digital comes after, but the physical record is always the primary format.
Artist-Led
We don't tell artists what to make. We find people making great music and give them a platform to reach the people who need to hear it.
Nordic Identity
Proudly Scandinavian, never insular. The cold, the light, the landscape. It shapes the sound, but the music travels.
Press Kit
